Myrtle Beach Fishing Report – April 2016

Fishing along the southern end of Myrtle Beach has been fantastic for most of March and the start of April, however we’ve been plagued with high winds and small craft advisories for the last week or so which has pretty much shut charter fishing down. Weather looks to improve starting next week so I expect the excellent springtime bite to pick up where it left off once the wind lays out. I’ve heard good reports of flounder being caught in Pawleys Island and Murrells Inlet by those who have been fighting the conditions over the last few days. Still plenty of big trout around as well as redfish. Look for the Cobia to start showing up just outside the surf zone along Myrtle Beach over the coming weeks which I am really looking forward too.
