Tarpon fishing in the Myrtle Beach area can be world class and we offer tarpon fishing charters during the Summer and Fall that target tarpon specifically.
Tarpon will begin to migrate to South Carolina in late May and the action heats up in July and peaks for about 12 weeks from August – October.
Most of the tarpon fishing that we do takes place just to the South of Myrtle Beach near Winyah Bay where we have access to about 50 miles of undeveloped coastline. When conditions cooperate, multiple shots at tarpon are common, and many of these fish average between 120lbs-140lbs.
For tarpon fishing charters, advanced booking is encouraged to make sure you can get on the water during the best tides and moon phase.
